The vineyards of Washington State suffer scorching sunlight, sparse rains & shallow soils. Yet from this harshest of environments comes fruit of unyielding character. Come as they are, our old enemies are worth the struggle.

On the Darkest of Nights, the Brightest Stars Shine

Founded in 2014, Skyfall wine draws inspiration from the vast, wild, and rugged expanse of Eastern Washington.

Washington Winemaking

Columbia Valley

Skyfall Wines are sourced from Eastern Washington in the Columbia Valley Appellation.

Washington’s wine appellations were formed 15,000 years ago from the Lake Missoula floods.  Repeated over thousands of years, Lake Missoula would freeze, the ice dam would break, and the valley of eastern Washington would flood. This eventually formed the Columbia River Valley and the loess soil that exists today from minerals deposited during the floods and subsequent wind.  Loess soil is the consistency of powdered sugar, it has very low water-holding potential.

The Labels

Each label shows mother nature emerging from the natural environment, just as our wines emerge from Washington to express all its elements, from each vintage’s weather to the thousands of years of geological history.
